Bei Akustikgitarren beschr\u00e4nken wir uns auf die Bauformen von Westerngitarren. Die vier wichtigten Bauformen stellen die OO (Double-O), OOO (Triple-O), Dreadnought und Jumbo da.
\nAuff\u00e4llig sind nat\u00fcrlich die unterschiedlichen Gr\u00f6\u00dfen und Proportionen vom unteren zum oben Teil des Korpus. Der Korpus oder auch Resonanzk\u00f6rper ist f\u00fcr die Verst\u00e4rkung der durch die Saiten erzeugten Schwingungen verantwortlich und besteht im Wesentlichen aus der Schulter, Taille und Bauch die eine 8 ergeben, wobei die untere Rundung deutlich gr\u00f6\u00dfer ist als die obere. Das Schallloch befindet sich an der schmalsten Stelle, der Taille. Gr\u00f6\u00dfe und Proportion von Schulter und Bauch sind verantwortlich f\u00fcr die Lautst\u00e4rke, die Ausgewogenheit und den klanglichen Charakter der Gitarre. Nun mehr zu den einzelnen Modellen \u2026<\/p>\n

OO oder auch \u201eGrand Concert\u201c<\/h3>\n

Die OO ist die Mutter aller Westerngitarren. Sie hat den kleinsten Resonanzk\u00f6rper und damit auch am leistesten. Sie eignet sich sehr gut f\u00fcr Fingerpicking. Ebenfalls haben kleine Menschen aufgrund der hervorragenden Bespielbarkeit ihre Freunde an diesen Instrumenten. Der Hals m\u00fcndet am 12 Bund in den Korpus. Der Klang der Double-O ist ausgewogen, wenn auch manchmal etwas d\u00fcnn.<\/p>\n

OOO oder \u201e Grand Auditorium\u201c<\/h3>\n

Wie der Name es schon verr\u00e4t, ist die Triple-O eine Weiterentwicklung der Grand Concert. Die Proportionen sind \u00e4hnlich, wobei sie etwas tiefer und breiter ist. Oft die der Boden gew\u00f6lbt, um noch mehr Volumen zu bekommen. Das Ergebnis ist mehr Lautst\u00e4rke mit gr\u00f6\u00dferer Klangdichte und verbesserter Pr\u00e4zission. Auch dieses Modell eignet sich f\u00fcr Fingerpicking und Solospiel.<\/p>\n

Dreadnought<\/h3>\n

Was, ein Schlachtschiff aus dem ersten Weltkrieg als Gitarre? Ja, die HMS Dreadnought (\u00fcbersetzt \u201eF\u00fcrchtenichts\u201c) der Royal Navy galt auch aufgrund ihrer Gr\u00f6\u00dfe als \u00dcberlegen in allen Belangen im Vergleich zu den Schiffen aus dieser Zeit. F\u00fcr Dreadnought-Modelle mit 6 oder 12 Saiten gilt das in etwa auch.
\nDer Korpus ist im Vergleich zu OO und OOO deutlich gr\u00f6\u00dfer, die Schulter ist proportional kleiner und l\u00e4uft fast gerade in die Taille. Der durch diese Bauweise erzielte Klang zeichnet sich durch deutlich kr\u00e4ftigere B\u00e4sse lautere H\u00f6hen aus. Wenn es einen Schwachpunkt bei D-Modellen gibt, dann liegen sie oft im Bereich der Mitten. Das ist aber stark von Modell und Hersteller abh\u00e4ngig. Der Halsansatz ist am 14. Bund. Die Dreadnought ist der unumstrittene Allrounder und damit auch am weitesten verbreitet. Entwickelt und eingef\u00fchrt wurde diese Bauform durch C.F. Martin Guitars, Klassiker sind hier die D-28 und die D-18.<\/p>\n

Jumbo<\/h3>\n

Die Jumbo war Gibson\u00b4s Antwort auf die Dreadnought. Auch sie hat einen gro\u00dfen Korpus, der allerdings in den Proportionen eher der OOO \u00e4hnelt. Sie erzeugt ebenfalls einen tieferen Klang mit sehr viel Sustain, ist aber nicht ganz so gut bespielbar wie eine Dreadnought. Der Halsansatz ist auch hier am 14. Bund. Die Gibson J-200 ist das bekannteste Modell dieser Art.<\/p>\n
